Dear Jose, it seems it works: thanks! Now we have to come up with a sentence for the README.ciao file. The sentence should say something like: Only versions ... of Ciao Prolog is supported [by PPL 0.10]. With what should we replace the "..."? I have checked, and the current SVN HEAD version does not even build on my 64-bit system. So, is it OK if we say Only versions of Ciao Prolog based on SVN revision 9859 or later are supported. ? Appears to be that with the recent changes a library (called subversion) was preventing the compilation of CiaoDE. I fixed that and now I am testing the compilation to be sure that the current version install well. [Please note I have a new office phone #: +34-913363747] Roberto,
Only versions of Ciao Prolog based on SVN revision 9859 or later are supported.
That would be a problem if we switch to another VC system. We are currently considering moving to git, and I do not know up to what point we will be able to keep an increasing revision number. In abscense of it, I'd add something as: Only versions of Ciao Prolog dated later than Oct. 15th, 2008 (corresponding to SVN revision 9859) are supported. If in doubt, please check with the Ciao developers (ciao@clip.dia.fi.upm.es) how to have access to such a version.
