Only versions of Ciao Prolog based on SVN revision 9859 or later are supported.
That would be a problem if we switch to another VC system. We are currently considering moving to git, and I do not know up to what point we will be able to keep an increasing revision number. In abscense of it, I'd add something as:
Only versions of Ciao Prolog dated later than Oct. 15th, 2008 (corresponding to SVN revision 9859) are supported. If in doubt, please check with the Ciao developers (ciao@clip.dia.fi.upm.es) how to have access to such a version.
Does everyone else agree?
