Please note the following excerpt from the new CVS version of Doxygen:

+ CHG: @name now automatically starts a member group section (previously a @{ command was needed). The member group continues until a new @name command is found or until the end of a compound is reached. @{ ... @} commands can still be used for backward compatibility or to end a member group before the end of a compound. @defgroup and friends still require explicit @{ ... @} blocks.
