Both to study concrete examples as well as to derive some computational results on tropical linear algebra in low dimensions which I used in my master's thesis. (There's a theorem I needed to use but couldn't prove. I managed to calculate the set of points not satisfying the theorem for a fixed dimension - it is empty).

I was looking for a modern, easy-to-use C++ library for ordinary polytopes with exact arithmetics, and PPL just fits perfectly.
